This challenge provided my mind and body with a new task of handstanding with a larger online community and allowed me to focus on something other than the Pandemic.
Occupation: Clinical Pharmacist
Age: 33
Location: Lafayette, CO
Years Practicing Handstands: Since I was a child in gymnastics ;)
ClubCal: What was your favorite part of the overall experience of the ClubCal Handstand Challenge?
Paige Schuenke: That it provided my mind and body with a new task and allowed me to focus on something other than the Pandemic.
CC: Which drill was the most challenging? Which drill was the easiest?
PS: Day 17 (the downward dog position into a push up and back up) and Day 19 (straddle handstand moving legs side to side) were both very challenging for me! As far as the easiest-kicking into my handstand!
CC: What aspects of hand standing would you like to see addressed in a future challenge?
PS: I would love to see techniques for a sitting straddle into a straddle press handstand!
CC: What do you look for in a handstand program?
PS: A program that teaches you the PROPER techniques and helps you build upon your skills and strength!
CC: What do you like about the ClubCal style of teaching handstands?
PS: I like that there are different levels so that beginners to advanced handstanders can all participate! I also enjoy the sense of community!
